Our Story

Ever since I was very little, I loved making and creating and have always had some kind of project on the go. I went on to study fashion design and have a first class BA in womenswear. After graduating I worked in clothing and handbag design for high end brands in the city before becoming a mother to three little boys, Teddy, Wilf and Rufus.

Their wardrobe quickly became my creative outlet and I found a new passion in children's clothing. However, I struggled to find clothes that I liked for them. Finding simple, practical, beautifully designed clothes for boys in interesting and thoughtful colours was challenging. So I got creative and started designing, knitting and making bits myself.

The positive comments I received spurred me on to launch Theodore Children - a childrenswear brand focussing on beautiful hand knits for little ones.

Each item is lovingly hand knitted by myself and a small team of mothers and grandmothers in the UK with the utmost care, using the finest and most ethical yarns. We pride ourselves on making heirloom quality pieces, to be loved, cherished and passed down for years to come.

I hope that these items become a much treasured and used part of your children's childhood too.
