FAQ

Why Merino?

Merino wool is a natural, versatile, warm and renewable fibre that reacts to changes in body temperature, keeping you warm when you’re cold, and cool when you’re hot.

The fine fibres are incredibly soft next to your skin, so there is no itch factor. It is also hypoallergenic and moisture wicking.

Naturally anti-bacterial, dirt repellent, and odour resistant, you should hardly ever need to wash your merino items. But if you do feel you need to wash them please follow our care instructions

Biodegradable, so if you do ever feel that your merino item has come to the end of it’s life (and can't be donated or recycled), it will completely break down in the ground within approximately 12 months, releasing valuable nutrients back onto the soil. A really super fibre!

What size are your snoods and little scarves?

Both our snoods and little scarves are one size, and being hand knitted they have lots of stretch and will generally fit children aged from 1 to 10 years.

    Are your items hand knitted?

Yes, each item is lovingly and carefully knitted by hand by a small team of women in the UK. As each item is handmade, it may have small imperfections which makes each item unique.

      What are your delivery times?

Most items are made to order, so delivery times are 4 to 6 weeks, but we will keep you updated on the progress of your order. Some items are in stock and will be dispatched within 48 hours of receiving payment. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in contact.

What if my order contains both 'in stock' items and 'made to order' items?

In this instance your order will ship when all items are made and ready to send. If you would like your 'in stock' item sooner, then please send an email to hello@theodorechildren.com
